Principle
The MCT 75c makes full use of the tried and tested Ford MT 75 gear set, housed in a range of gear cases making it suitable for numerous up-grade and original equipment applications where a separate bell-housing is employed.

Current Uses
Current manual transmission equipment in Nostalgia Cars Classis & C-Type range.
As a direct replacement for the Ford Type 9.
5 speed conversions for Classic Cars, Rover, MGB-RV8, Jaguars 1948-1997, Austin Healey 3000 & 100/4, Triumph and Sunbeam Alpines.
Kit Cars using power units similar to those in the above vehicles, plus small block Chevy, Ford and Rover V8.

Application
One base format is a case with mounting points identical to the older Ford Type 9 Gearbox. A second case incorporates a larger front mounting face which to date has been machined to accept Jaguar XK, Healey and Rover SD1 bell-housings, whilst a `Getrag' mounting is currently under development. In each application the spigot (1^st motion shaft) is machined to match the O.E. spigot bearing. Suitable clutch centre plates are available to order.

Capacity
Recommendations are limited because of the variants of application. The maximum power so far tested is 300bhp, 280ft/lb torque in a race vehicle of 1000kg. 

Shift Mechanism          ( See picture)      
To compliment the arrival of the MCT 75c gearbox into the `after-sales market', Nostalgia Cars has designed a shift mechanism giving precise, slick control through the gears. The mechanism is unique in that it has been developed to suit almost all O.E. gear lever positions whilst accommodating a variety of kit car requirements. Stainless steel gear levers are available in three different lengths and angle of the lever can be determined by fine adjustment of the support system.

Bell-Housing
Nostalgia Cars can source most bell-housings to order from various suppliers. A new bell-housing for the For Duratec DHE engine is available with clutch operation via the standard Duratec 4-cyl clutch assembly.

Speedometer Drive
A range of pinion drives is available and selection of the correct drive ratio should enable an accurate speed indication to be achieved without re-calibration of the existing speedometer unit. Drive cables are available to order to suit all applications. A Ford Transducer can be supplied and various drive ratios, for this, are available.

Prop-shaft
The MCT 75c is supplied with the standard 6 bolt Ford drive flange (the `3 leg spider' is also available to special order). For non-Ford applications, an adapter for the 6 bolt flange can be supplied with each gearbox enabling the purchaser to convert to a standard universal joint. Alternatively, suitable prop-shafts are available to order 

                             Purchasing
The gearbox is sold complete with bell-housing bolts. The gear shift, speedometer drive pinion and adapter flange etc., are ordered to meet individual requirements. Complete installation kits are available for Jaguar applications and this will be extended to suit other applications in line with demand. Parts are sold separately or as part of an assembled package and we are happy to offer advice where necessary.

                               Warranty
 A 12 month warranty is provided from date of purchase, which covers all Nostalgia Car products.
