The ‘Classic 120’ is a replica of that renowned Jaguar XK 120 of the late Nineteen-Forties and early Fifties as described on the previous page. As you would expect the car uses major Jaguar mechanical components. These are sourced from an XJ6 1970/85 or an AJ6 3.6ltr – 1986/94 donor car. Modifications are necessary to some items and for this purpose an exchange scheme is in place. Items which were prone to corrosion on the donor cars are not required for the assembly and are therefore discarded. The self-build is a straight forward procedure, taking approximately 700 hours. A build manual is supplied with each chassis at the time of sale. But should you need our help, we are there and welcome all calls on our help lines. For those who might find some build elements a little daunting, we have a part assembly program and the full factory assembled car option.

The Classic is also available in XK140 OTS standard format with a redesigned boot lid and closing panel which gives adequate provision for the full width bumpers and overiders, as shown on the centre pages of this brochure. The Classic 140 incorporates a bonnet chromium finisher, revised radiator grille and badge assembly.These replica Jaguar XK120 &140 cars have seat belt anchorage points tested to 2 metric tons, surprising chassis rigidity, 50/50 weight distribution, fully adjustable suspension and geometry, a superb power to weight ratio and genuine current UK SVA certification.

As the C Type is & always was a serious race car, interior trim options are limited, however we do build in as much comfort as is possible within the business like cockpit.
All Jaguar XK engine sizes are available to be installed to your Nostalgia C Type from 3.4 to 4.2 in a number of tuned stages using various carburretor options.

But this does not prevent the more experienced from sourcing parts themselves and stamping their character on their car. With the use of the ‘Nostalgia’ boxed steel, fully bracketed chassis frame as the basis of the replica, customers are assured of a trouble free assembly and guaranteed high standards of finish and performance. Modified components and all essential items are available from our Somerset Factory to provide the customer with a stage by stage service until completion.
